Firestopping on the other hand is applied particularly to the entrances and exits of a room in an attempt to contain hypothetical fires to one area. By firestopping, the goal is to make sure the fire doesn’t escape into the rest of the building.
Given enough time and hot enough temperatures, anything can be at risk for combustion. However, by having Floor Technologies fireproof your structure with cement-like, fibrous material, your building can withstand longer amounts of time in the heat at higher temperatures without succumbing to the elements.
